Used Boiler Inventory Updates: Featured Refurbished Units Ready for Service

What’s Currently in Stock — Reliable Used Boilers Ready for Quick Delivery

In the industrial world, downtime is the enemy. When you need steam or hot water capacity, you usually need it immediately. Whether you’re dealing with an unexpected failure, a production increase, or a project that needs a bridge solution, waiting months for a new boiler often isn’t practical.

A high-quality refurbished boiler can fill that gap. At Cole Industrial, our inventory includes used and reconditioned boilers that have been inspected, evaluated, and prepared for service. These are not “as-is” units—they are selected and processed to meet defined performance and safety standards before they are offered for sale. Inventory changes regularly, and availability can shift quickly. The units below represent examples of the types of boilers we currently stock. For current availability, it’s best to contact our team directly.

Featured Unit 1 — 800 HP Firetube Steam Boiler (Example Configuration)

Note: Inventory changes rapidly. This is a representative example of the type of equipment we stock. Contact us for current availability.

Capacity and Pressure Ratings

This unit is an 800 HP, 4-pass dryback firetube boiler designed for high-pressure steam applications. Rated for 250 psig design pressure, it is capable of delivering approximately 27,600 lbs/hr of steam output. This size class is commonly used in large manufacturing facilities, food processing plants, and institutional heating systems where consistent, high-capacity steam is required.
The 4-pass design improves heat transfer efficiency, helping maximize fuel utilization while maintaining stable operation across varying load demands.

Fuel Type and Burner Configuration

This unit is equipped with a low-NOx burner configured for dual-fuel operation (natural gas and #2 oil). Dual-fuel capability provides flexibility for facilities that require a backup fuel source or need to manage fluctuating utility availability.
The burner management system has been evaluated and verified for proper operation to support reliable ignition, stable combustion, and consistent performance across the firing range.

Current Availability and Lead Time

This unit is available for shipment on a short lead time, depending on final configuration requirements and site-specific considerations. Compared to the lead time for a new boiler, this provides a faster alternative to new equipment lead times when restoring or expanding capacity.

Refurbishment Work Completed

This unit has undergone a defined scope of refurbishment work. The pressure vessel has been inspected and verified through thickness testing and hydrostatic pressure testing. Fireside and waterside components have been evaluated and serviced as needed. Gaskets and wear components have been replaced where required. The burner has been inspected, cleaned, and recalibrated, and control components have been checked to ensure proper operation.

Featured Unit 2 — 300 HP Firetube Steam Boiler (Example Configuration)

Key Specifications

This unit is a 300 HP firetube boiler designed for medium-capacity steam applications. It is well-suited for facilities that require consistent steam output without the footprint or fuel demand of larger systems. This size class is commonly used in manufacturing, food processing, and institutional operations where reliable process steam is required. The firetube design provides stable operation and straightforward maintenance, making it a practical option for facilities looking for dependable performance across varying load conditions.

Fuel Type and Burner Configuration

This unit is configured for natural gas firing, with the potential for dual-fuel capability depending on burner configuration. The burner system has been inspected and evaluated to ensure stable combustion and proper operation.

Current Availability and Lead Time

This unit is prepared for shipment and can be delivered on a short timeline, depending on configuration requirements and site conditions. It provides a practical alternative to longer lead times associated with new equipment.

Featured Unit 3 — 60 HP Vertical Tubeless Steam Boiler (Example Configuration)

Capacity and Pressure Ratings

This 60 HP vertical tubeless boiler is designed for lower-capacity steam applications. Rated for 150 psig, it is well-suited for facilities such as dry cleaners, breweries, small manufacturing operations, and pilot systems where space and simplicity are important. The vertical tubeless design eliminates traditional tube bundles, reducing maintenance requirements and simplifying operation.

Vessel and Burner Condition

The pressure vessel has been inspected and evaluated to confirm structural integrity. The burner assembly and associated components have been checked to ensure stable and reliable operation. As with all units we offer, key operating components are reviewed and serviced as needed to meet performance and safety expectations.

Delivery and Availability

This unit is prepared for shipment and can be delivered on a short timeline, depending on final configuration and site requirements. Its size allows for easier transport and quicker installation compared to larger systems.

Additional Units Available — Ask for Full Inventory

Our inventory changes frequently. If the featured units above don’t match your specific requirements, there’s a strong chance we have other options available or units currently in refurbishment. The best way to get an accurate picture of what’s available is to contact our team directly. We can walk through your application, capacity needs, and fuel requirements to identify units that fit your operation.

Firetube Boiler Options

We stock a range of firetube boilers configured for industrial and commercial applications. Our inventory focuses on 4-pass firetube designs, which are commonly used for their durability, efficiency, and ease of operation. Whether your priority is efficiency, footprint, or operational simplicity, we can help match a firetube configuration to your system requirements.

Various HP and Pressure Ratings

Our inventory typically ranges from smaller commercial units (15–50 HP) up to large industrial boilers (800 HP and above). We carry equipment across a range of pressure ratings, from low-pressure heating applications to high-pressure process steam systems. This flexibility allows us to support a wide variety of industries and operational needs.

Fuel Flexibility and Configuration Options

Most units in our inventory are configured for natural gas or #2 oil. Where needed, we can evaluate fuel system modifications or burner adjustments to align with your facility’s fuel availability and emissions requirements.

What Comes With Each Refurbished Boiler

When you buy a used boiler from Cole Industrial, you aren’t buying a mystery. You are buying a certified asset backed by data.

Inspection Reports and Service History

Transparency is key. We provide copies of our internal inspection reports, detailing the condition of the vessel, tubes, and refractory. If we have the original manufacturer’s data report (U-1A), that is included as well. You will know exactly what you are getting before the truck arrives.

Warranty Options

We stand behind our work. Our standard refurbished boiler packages typically include a warranty on the parts we have replaced or refurbished. This gives you confidence that the equipment will perform as expected.

Testing and Certification Results

Every refurbished boiler undergoes a hydrostatic pressure test to 1.5 times its design pressure to confirm vessel integrity. We also perform a fired test (when possible) or a full simulation of the control system to verify safety interlocks. These test results are documented and provided to you.

Optional Upgrades (Controls, Burners, Efficiency Enhancements)

A used boiler purchase can be an opportunity to align the unit with your current operational needs. Depending on the configuration and condition of the boiler, certain upgrades may be available prior to shipment.

In some cases, controls can be modernized or adjusted to better match your facility’s requirements. Fuel train modifications or burner adjustments may also be possible to align with site utilities or emissions considerations. Availability of upgrades depends on the specific unit and application. Our team can review options with you based on your operating conditions and goals.

Lead Times and Delivery: How Fast You Can Get a Unit On-Site

Speed is often the deciding factor when purchasing used equipment. Delivery timing depends on unit availability, configuration, and site logistics. We coordinate transport based on your project requirements to ensure the unit arrives safely and is ready for installation.

Transport Requirements and Site Access

We handle the coordination of heavy haul trucking and work with your facility team to determine the best delivery method based on your site conditions. This ensures the unit arrives safely and is positioned for a smooth installation process.

Coordination With Installation Teams

We don’t just drop the boiler at the curb. Our team can coordinate with your mechanical contractor or installation team to ensure they have the technical data, dimensions, and connection details needed to prepare the site before the unit arrives. This helps minimize delays during installation.
