Sales Manager – Washington


Job Summary:

Direct and Coordinate activities of the business concerned with the sale of the company’s products and services. Ensure consistent, profitable growth through positive planning, deployment and management of sales personnel. Identifies objectives, manages the company’s sales process and implements action plans to improve short and long term sales and earnings. The sales manager is responsible for all office operations as it relates to new product sales.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish and manage effective programs to compensate, coach, appraise and train sales personnel, or, manage existing programs
  • Observe and critique field performance of sales personnel
  • Manage outside sales personnel
  • Manage the sales process as it relates outside sales
  • Set monthly targets and provide monthly reporting to sales staff
  • Ensure trade shows are adequately staffed. Work with VP of Operations and Finance on establishing budgets at the beginning of each year for these events.
  • Report forecasts and provide monthly updates for principle lines (examples provided)
  • Cleaver-Brooks (11 business targets) * Work with expanding product sales for the commercial and industrial marketplace.
  • Hold regular meetings with sales staff
  • Review and approve all expenses for personnel in the sales department
  • Develop and manage process for monitoring leads for future opportunities

Skills/qualifications:

  • Managing processes, developing standards, ability to work well with others

Desired Qualifications: The Sales Manager candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in business administration or equivalent business experience and 5+ years of progressively responsible experience for a major company or division of a large corporation.

Supervises: sales personnel and direct sales activities
